About ROKO Consulting

ROKO Consulting is a Sydney based provider of Search Engine Marketing services with a focus on SEO – Search Engine Optimisation.

I started ROKO Consulting after spending over 4 years working as an SEO Consultant at a Search Marketing agency and also as in-house SEO Specialist for companies in Australia. Working in-house convinced me even more about the importance of being a part of the implementation process and working closely with people who manage the business to ensure taking full advantage of SEO opportunities. The importance of working closely with people in business is sometimes underestimated by SEO agencies. My approach is simple – to prepare specific recommendation, ensure those are implemented properly and evaluate the results.

While working at an agency, the clients I ‘worked on’ include some of the largest businesses in Australia and also some companies in US and the UK in a variety of industries from retail, insurance, finance, travel to telecommunications and education: ASX, RAMS Home Loans, AMP and NRMA Motoring Services to mention few. My ‘in-house’ SEO experience include working on the following websites: ING Australia, NRMA Insurance, SGIO, SGIC, Daily Montessori and The Student.

SEO requires technical as well as business skills, since SEO should support business goals and I believe it should start with a proper understanding of the business, industry, products and service offered and customers. I’ve completed the following degrees which I believe gave me a good understanding of business: Bachelor of Economics, Post Grad Degree in Management (major in Marketing), Post Grad Degree in E-Commerce, and Master of Business in E-Business.
